MEET THE BOLENS

Janae /Jah-nay/

Meaning God is gracious.

“And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.” 2 Corinthians 9:8

Growing up in a loving home where the blaring household appliances matched my siblings and I in volume, I quickly became aware of the rarity of peace and quiet. I would constantly try, in my own strength, to artificially create “peace” only to learn I’d fall short on my own. The step I never knew I needed was to truly let God take control and believe in His promise of abounding grace over our lives. Through this experience, God has grown my desire to help people find areas of respite in their life, whether away or at home.

Many people, when faced with unfamiliar acquaintances, quickly resort to digging their faces into their phones rather than engaging with one another. While appearing to be a harmless social norm, the desire to escape our surroundings can make it easy to find a screen more enjoyable than a conversation.

Resolving this relatively universal problem encouraged me to pursue an Interior Design BFA and Management minor in the CIDA accredited design program and AACSB accredited business program at Radford University.

Now, my husband and I work alongside one another with the goal of bringing grace-filled living to others in the New River Valley. Of course, this is what God always had designed since the beginning,

“My people will live in peaceful dwelling places, in secure homes, in undisturbed places of rest.” Isaiah 32:18
